Choose the right action
Disqualified
- Candidate is removed from the current hiring process
- Still available in the system
- Use this when the candidate is not suitable for a specific role
Blacklisted
- Candidate is restricted from future hiring
- Automatically treated as disqualified in jobs
- Use this for serious or long-term restrictions
Inactive
- Candidate was previously blacklisted, but is now restored
- The candidate is active again but kept for record tracking
- Use this to understand candidate history, not for decisions
Disqualify a candidate
Use this when the candidate should not continue in the current job.
Steps:
- Open the candidate profile
- Click Disqualify
- Select a reason
- Choose whether to send email
- Confirm action


What happens next
- Candidate is removed from the current job pipeline
- Candidate remains available for other jobs
Blacklist a candidate
Use this when the candidate should not be considered for any roles.
Steps
- Open the candidate profile
- Click Options
- Select Blacklist Candidate
- Select a reason
- Set an expiration date (The expiration date controls how long the restriction applies)
- Confirm action


What happens next
- Candidate is added to Blacklisted Candidates
- Candidate is automatically disqualified in jobs
- Candidate cannot be considered while blacklist is active
View blacklisted candidates
Use this when you want to review restricted candidates.
Steps
- Go to Candidates
- Open Blacklisted Candidates
- Select the candidate
- Click Remove from Blacklist


What happens next
- Candidate is no longer restricted
- Candidate becomes active again
- Candidate can be considered for jobs again
- Candidate is not added back to any job automatically
Important
- Blacklisting blocks all the candidate across all jobs
- Disqualifying removes the candidate form one job only
- Removing from blacklist allows future hiring but does not restart any process
Always confirm before applying restrictions
